Hey friends! Sorry I have not posted recently, the school week was uneventful. However I had such a fun weekend here in Valencia.
Friday, we didn't have classes again, so we all met up and headed to the arts and sciences museums. this is composed of 4 modern buildings that are located in the middle of the city in the rio. it is absolutely gorgeous and draws a huge crowds of tourists everyday. we went to the oceanografic museum, which is more or less like an aquarium and apparently it is the largest in Europe. first we saw a dolphin show and i was like a little kid at disneyworld because i was so excited. i had never seen a dolphin show before and it was incredible. after the dolphin show we toured around all of the exhibits. we saw some stingrays, penguins, sea otters, sharks, etc. lots of fun stuff. i didn't take many pictures because we weren't allowed to use the flash so they didn't turn out.
after the oceanographic, we headed across the street to the mall and ate our bocadillas. then we walked around the mall for a while (it was nice to be in some air conditioning) since that is very rare here. then my friend kristin and i decided to check out the imax theater at the museum and we saw some film about fish in south africa. it was really cool.
friday night we went to a valencia cooking class and it was so much fun, although we were starving by the time we were ready to eat because we didn't eat until 11 PM. we made paella with rabbit and chicken, sangria, flan and empanadas! it was a success and so much fun!
yesterday (sat.) a few of us wandered around the city and enjoyed the day and then headed to the beach. the weather here is still really good for the beach, high of 90s in the afternoon and low 70s in the morning... perfect weather. i am falling in love with it.
last night two of my friends and i went out after dinner for some sangria and people watched. it was so fun to sit and talk and also watch all of the europeans. it's one of my favorite things to do!
today is a boring day, i am in the internet cafe catching up on emails, uploading pictures, working on homework, etc. no fun! i have lots of projects, presentations, and papers this week. but i just have to make it to thursday. friday i am flying to italy to meet my parents for the week since we have a week off from school. i couldn't be more excited to see my parents and especially to talk in english for the whole week! ah the things that excite me.
well, that's all for now. hotty toddy from spain! ole miss actually won a game again! maybe we are making up for last weekend against south carolina.

Okay, you've got to make some flan for us on your next visit home. Mary Kate told me to tell you that she wants to go to Sharp Top Cove! Have fun with your parents.
